Dishwasher Malfunction In The Kitchen Affecting The Ceiling Below

This dishwasher malfunction took place in the kitchen on the first floor and caused damage to the family room ceiling below. The water had stained the ceiling which tells us the area is wet between the subfloor above and ceiling. In order to properly dry the this wet area the drywall needed to be removed. Once the drywall is removed and the area is cleaned then equipment can be placed in order to complete the drying process. A dehumidifier and several air movers are set to ensure the wood is completely dry and the drywall is ready to be placed.
